LORD, THANKS!

WILLFUL BLINDNESS

 “With willful blindness practiced now by most, a peaceful future's very much in doubt. When nuclear bombs could make this planet toast, that willful blindness we could do without! When folks start daily reading “Counterpunch”, then maybe we will see some rays of hope. Right now so many minds are out-to-lunch, that Life on Earth is running out o' rope! LOVING PRAYER FOR THE WORLD

 “This blessedness is certainly enough, but, still, Lord, I could dig a little more! So many folks on Earth are feeling Rough – and All of them, dear Lord, I’m praying for: the starving, sick, and All the greedy ones, the hateful ones... of course, their victims, too… and folks who think the answer’s bombs and guns, plus those who know the only answer’s You. Please, grant that I can do a Whole lot more, and help You give us All the things we Need; but let me not my Own real needs ignore, let being Kind ta All now be my creed! Please, and thank you!”

BODHISATTVA'S PRAYER

This tendency to take offense and hate, afraid of anything or anyone – replace it, Lord, with something truly great: the courage, Lord, to get my mission done. To save the world’s impossible, I know, but that’s the task to which I now commit! Please, fill me up with love from head-to-toe, encourage me, so I will never quit! Deluding passions, all of you, begone! Lord, help me save some sentient beings now! May here a world of constant prayer dawn; since I’d be like the Buddha, show me how! Please and thank you!
